All About Exfoliation
No matter how young your face looks, your hands are the billboards that truly announce your age to the world.
Consider that your hands are exposed to harmful UV rays, pollution and harsh detergents daily, and yet are often the most neglected part of our body. Our Healing Hands promotion makes caring for your hands simple.
Exfoliation is the first and most important step. Why?
We shed millions of dead skin cells every day, allowing new ones to make their way to the surface. This process slows as we begin to age resulting in an increased build up of dead cells on the surface of the skin. This keratin layer causes discolouration, uneven skin tone and leaves you with dull, dehydrated skin.
Benefits of Exfoliation
Regular exfoliation removes this keratin layer allowing the new cells that are smooth and radiant to give your skin that soft, young looking appearance. Exfoliation stimulates natural blood flow to the skin and increases natural oil production to keep your skin smooth and even. Exfoliation also aids your skin’s ability to absorb your moisturising products.
Why I Love Kalahari’s Hand and Foot Raw Sugar Buff
The raw sugar in our Wild Honey enriched buff has natural exfoliating properties that gently remove unwanted, dry skin. The antioxidant-rich Grape Seed Oil deeply nourishes and moisturises my skin leaving it smooth, moisturized and totally rejuvenated!
Exfoliation once a week is my first step in countering the signs of premature ageing. Why not make it part of your essential hand care routine?
Reflections on 2014
The end of 2014 is upon us and I am sure you are also frantically busy with strict deadlines, social year end functions and the search for the perfect Christmas gift! I love the heightened activity and sense of expectation that accompanies the Festive Season.
The people of the Kalahari believe that every ending holds the seed of a new beginning. So as the year draws to a close, I like to take a day to reflect on my year. I think of it as my personal stocktake. What obstacles have I overcome? What valuable lessons did I learn through the challenges I faced? Am I satisfied with my life as it is? What would I like to change or do better next year?
Then I make time to celebrate my victories, while turning the disappointments and struggles into the seeds of success for 2015. At this special time of year, I wish the same for you and your loved ones!
